Inquiries continue after five stabbed at Chandler’s Ford Halloween party

Eastleigh’s Member of Parliament, Liz Jarvis, expressed deep sorrow over the recent events, describing the community’s reaction as one of shock. She extended her heartfelt sympathies to the families affected, emphasizing her concern for the five boys hospitalized following the incident. Jarvis noted the gravity of the situation and urged everyone to remain calm, cautioning against spreading unconfirmed information online and encouraging trust in the ongoing police investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Pirie, who is leading the inquiry, highlighted the importance of gathering information from individuals who attended the party. She appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident, captured relevant footage, or could help identify those involved, to come forward. This effort aims to piece together the events and clarify details surrounding what happened.
In response to the situation, authorities have established cordons along Park Road and Valley Road. Officers are actively interviewing witnesses and canvassing nearby homes to review any video recordings that might shed light on the incident. Additionally, the police have engaged with residents living on adjacent streets in their search for information that could assist the investigation.
To support the community affected by this distressing event, two local churches have opened their doors for a designated period. St Boniface Church on Hursley Road is available daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm throughout the week, while St Martin in the Wood on Queen’s Road will be open for support on Mondays and Wednesdays between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm
